Reading 2020 - the Local Strategic Partnership for Reading:

The Reading 2020 Partnership brings together organisations, groups and individuals from all sectors  - public, private, voluntary, community and faith - to work in partnership for the benefit of all our residents, visitors and people who travel to work here.

The Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) for Reading has now been signed off by the LSP and is available in the Partnership section of this website

The top 3 priorities to work on currently are :

Breaking the cycle of poverty - a systemic change in delivery priorities to focus resources on early intervention (in this context for 0 to 5 year olds) to support a radical improvement in the Early Years Foundation Stage for children across Reading, particularly those in poverty who have much poorer current outcomes

Capable communities - increasing personalisation of services so that service users have greater choice and control over the services they receive and greater influence over what and how these are provided.

Skills for all - raising participation in learning (not necessarily qualifications) leading to increased economic activity opportunities
